Title: Alt Tab between two aROs.
Post by: LoveHeart on June 05, 2008, 06:12:33 pm
Before,

I could alt tab between the two RO clients without the other one stopping (or whatever you call that lag / stop ).

I could alt tab and the other one would run normally and so is the other one.

But now,

when i alt-tab (leaving the other RO client behind the other RO client), the ro client on top of the screen would work properly, but the other one wouldnt.
It would still work when i go back but if theres a lot of activity on the other client (bottom one), it shows like a fast forward version of what happened, and worse, it could lag and disconnect.

i'm poor at explaining but i hope someone gets it.

Not all computers can handle two RO clients at once full speed. My do most the time but the one behind would do a mini *fast-foward* up to where it should be at and then it's normal again.

A lot of times it's also what you put on your computer. If your computer gets bogged down with junk that you've installed over time, it will affect the performance of your other applications.

For example:

When I first reformatted my laptop, even WITH Vista, I was able to dual client. Although laggy and not so great, I was able to.

Once I started installing other programs on the laptop and cluttering it up with junk, I was unable to dual client once again.

Oh.. that's exactly what I did with my laptop.

Maybe it's time to transfer some programs to external hard drives. Hope that would help.

Thanks Shane and Denia.

Defragging is a good thing to do also.

Same here...  :-[

Well, something that MIGHT help: install Mouse Freedom. Then you won't see the fast forward thing while using window'd mode, but your clients will be slowed down (when opening two at a same time). Only recommended to transfer items, for other things this way's too laggy...
