im talking normal gears no valk..

Buckler from hell is better IMO, since not many of the mobs are medium. =/

o_O Can you even get Teddy Bear?  I've yet to see anyone have it...  And why reduce from just Dullahans?  IMO Khalitz (Hell) is better because it's more versatile, and I can take it to Lolis and level faster.

Tirfing ,imo. More monsters are medium type, than shadow type.

Khalitz is against Demons types, not Shadow/Dark element. 

The only niff monsters that aren't Demon type are Dullahans (Undead) and Bloody Murderers (Demi-Human).
And the only niff monsters that are Medium sized are Dullahans and Disguise.

Though... Dullas and Disguises are more common in Skellington, so it's really a tough call.

Tirfing. Because more mobs are medium. There are less Dull's than other monsters in your mobs. And bloody murders are in niff2 not niff1.

tirfing because iono~ works best in niff is universal to other maps also if your a sader/pally it reduces damg from your GC lik a thara frog (cept its 30%) but players are medium size and if I last remember when I checked all the monsters in niff were considered medium and I think i tested this on me mvp theif to fight in niff wit DDP/antis shield combo long ago an it seems to work well.

If you can't afford a tirfing shield, try getting an Ancient Mummy card. It's a lot cheaper (like 100k??) and it casts level 5 signum crucis with a 1% success rate. And since you're mobbing with a smith you get hit plenty of times, so you'll cast the skill plenty of times as well.

But that's if you really can't afford anything better.

In Nif1 (Skellington), most people say Tirfing is better and Khalitz for Nif2. Tirfing is universal because it's useful outside of nif also.
According to ROcards, Dullahans and Disguises are medium.

But, from my experience, I found Khalitz more useful in Skell. I compared +4 Khalitz Buckler and +8 Tifing Guard. I could be wrong of course, that's just from what happened to me.

I've always preferred using GTB in Nif to avoid being affected by all those annoying status spells like Slow and Stone Curse. All the other gear I use helps reduce the damage enough that I can pot through it without much problem.

True that. Going to Nif without a shield is survivable too. I use a +8 DB Two-Handed to lvl my BS to 99. I should know.

I tired +7 khal buckler and +7 tirf buckler for niff.

When I used my khal, I died in niff like once every blue moon? *Almost never*
When I used tirf, I could expect to die 2-3 times a day.

I've also heard similar stories from friends who had tried both.


If you want something that will work in alot of diff maps, then go tirf.
But if you're only using it for niff, use khal.

Yup, +8 Guard Tirfing (which I tried) should give more defense than +4 Buckler Khalitz but I still found that I took less damage with Khalitz on. More managable.

On a side note, Dew sold all her accounts? >: And the name Nefertari sounds familliar...

so in conclusion to all this its better to farm niff with a khalitz buckler?
