Is it necessary to Job 50 a Taekwon if im changing to a SL

 If you don't want the character to be seriously impaired in the future, yes.
It is generally a good idea to level any class that cannot transcend to job 50 before changing. Even leveling classes that can transcend to job level 50 before changing job classes is mandatory in some cases.

 I know taekwon leveling is probably difficult. But endure and it'll benefit your sl in large amounts.

you don't need it on SL, they can't use the majority of TK skills (all the damaging kicks). Get warm wind, running, high jump, and breakfall and you are set.

Basically thats:

5+5+5+7+10+5+7+1

So you'd need 45 skill points, in order to get all those skills mentioned to the Max.

(I think, I haven't been aLinker for a long time, So I forget what the max level of jump is)

Which basically means that get job level 46 in order to get 45 skill points. Going any higher then that is pretty much useless.

 Go get job level 50 anyway.
Having  both rests at level 7 looks great and comes in handy at times.

 DO IT :D
Besides, will only take a few hours at most.

You're making that suggestion towards a populous that simply degrades the class into two groups: "how i shot link" and "hur hur kaahi". /heh

In all seriousness, if you want to take your SL seriously, go to Job 50. If not, don't even bother with 46. Seeing as how its a Link slave, most of the time, go to 40 and be happy about it.

How often will you need your Rests at level 7?

I mean, the only practical uses there are is in PvM. WoE Wise, a Linker should never standing still, let alone sitting, right?
And there should never be two linkers in the same place at once (On purpose) So that kinda defeats the purpose of The Regain.

In PvM, You really don't "need" running. And in Woe, You really don't "need" the rest skills; Aside from the fact that they unlock WW.

Basically, Theres really no harm in changing at 46-47. Your preformance won't be effected in Woe. All it requires you do is possibly restat every now and then.

Personally; Its what I did, and I've never had any problems, myself.

Plus in order for you to WOE PVP you need a higher base lvl and more Skills will help you get up there...  Unless you have Uber gear... or get leached

Extra stat bonuses do little as a taekwon.. and more skills won't do much in WoE or PvP as a linker, depending on the job level. You also don't need uber gear to WoE properly as one.
