Whats so private about it, besides the fact that its your behavior on these forums, and what you have posted? Still, I see no harm in it, though I see some good for it. Myself, I like to browse a bit. I rememeber going through aRO histories of people who were banned and I looked up as to why, like this one guy who was always spamming useless things and got banned for something like harassing a girl or something.

What Fuerte said, I use it to look through the integrity of a person in question, when I'm making complicating trades dealing with characters etc, or simply to dig up one's dirty pasts /gg

Its not a bug, the last forum was made from SMF Simple Machines Trademark too, and they allowed browsing of profiles, the Administrators for THIS forum don't want profile browsing for what reason I'm not quite sure.

Well they actually did fix a part of it. Around 4 or 5 days ago, you could view someones profile if you logged out and looked as a guest. This has been fixed. This leads me to believe that the Admins here will not let you view peoples profiles at ALL. :(

i also absolutely agree with Lily - the current regulation is ridiculous, if there should be no 'private' information given, the who's online listPLUS the MEMBER-list must be urgently deactivated too >:(, any stalker can easyly check on us... well, so wether all or nothing ....... wtf :(

Actually some of us have it so we don't show up at all on the Who's Online list. Myself included... And I for one, like the fact that people can't freely view my profile, at least when they're logged in. Kind of creepy to think that someone out there wants to peek at my profile, who knows, they might be staring and analyzing my name, scrutinizing my posts ... /fsh !
Hopefully Talis will come up with a forum hack to enable it so that whomever wishes, can have their profile private all together! /heh
