Title: Hell Poodle or Spring Rabbit
Post by: soudoz on December 12, 2012, 11:19:23 pm
Hi just started this server like a week ago. I was wondering if hell poodle or spring rabbit cards is worth getting?
Will it save me alot of money on potions? Which one is better?

Hell Poodle heals 100% while Spring Rabbit heals 50%. I'm sure you can figure out which is better. As for cheaper, obviously the Spring Rabbit will be cheap but I'd suggest you save up for the Hell poodle.

I would do that too.. Spring rabbit might not be as good as hell poodle but it could help you mob effectively, thus survivavility in a map and potential increase in earnings. then if you have saved enough, buy a hell poodle and keep the spring rabbit.. It all works out

Money isn't really an issue for me. I was just wondering if its worth the money to invest in getting those cards. Well I've been mobbing at spores for about 4 days and dieing doesn't seem to be a problem for me.
Is there a better or faster way to make money? Currently I'm only able to make about 12-15m a day. I only get about 4-5 hours to play a day :/

Yes, if you went to mob in niff you would like multiply your output by 6 fold give or take. But for mobbing there you definitely want a spring rabbit or hell poodle

what?? Omg..I didn't know you could make that much there... I wished I knew that when I was starting out... This sucks..

Ok, so if money isn't an issue for you and doesn't seem to bother you when you die.. Think of it this way, every time you are killed, you lose 1% of your exp point.. You might not appreciate it now, but later on when you hit the 80s and especially 90s, You will miss those points that you missed!

As for niffing,
Yeah.. you'll make more money there that's for sure..but last time i remembered, It wasn't 6 times a 15m.. You must be either that kind of a pro or Niff has just gone empty..anyways If you're in a budget, I suggest at least get a DB chain/mace, decent defense gears like a deviling armor, and eddga shoes.. However, I suggest you try out niff first and see if you like it there.. being all gloomy and all..if you don't like it.. Stick to spores.. they are easy money... If you like niff, then by all means go for it..

I do think that you are making decent money though.. anyways goodluck!

Well i said 6x ~ thats my ratio (1m in spores to 6m in niff per run)   if he has the patience to mob the spores maybe he makes more? x)

Wow that sounds interesting! When I started my friend just gave me a dbss mace and blazer clip and showed me how to do it in spores.

Would u mind me asking what gears I would need for niff? Also, which map do I mob? I am currently 99/50 so could a blacksmith do it effectively there or do I need to transcend? Sorry to be such a bother.
Title: Re: Hell Poodle or Spring Rabbit
Post by: rikjaymz2791 on December 13, 2012, 07:53:35 pm
No.. You can do it without transcending.. Blacksmith is fine.. and you're adequately leveled to mob efficiently there.. And blacksmith/whitesmith is the best class  in Niff since you have the greedskill which efficiently lets you take the loot and having the biggest weight limit out of all the classes because of your cart..

Top Headgear: Kaho or soul ring.. or any high def headgear
Mid headgear: Bloody Knight Carded AWE/EWE for +27 str total
Bottom: With DBS chain or DBSS mace, get gangster scarf.. For DBS MJOl, get pirate dagger to proc lightning

Weapon: +10 DBSS Mace or DBS mjoir (smith SQI)
Shield: Khalitzburg Carded, or tirfing card..
Accessories: 2x hell poodle, or spring rabbit, or celeb, or blazer accessory or myst case card
Garment: Any garment with deviling
Armor: Bathory , Evil druid, Silence armor, or any other status armor you have.
Shoes:  Something with eddga card in it

Also, if you have a sage or prof- Fire endow your blacksmith which lasts for like 30 min and you'll get extra damage from the fire elemental .. You will dmg more from 125%(quve) to 200% (dullahan).

Stats
try to get as much str as you can.. So you can hit hard and fast
with dbss mace, you can use berserk pot and add enough agi to achieve 190 aspd.
High vit.. like +99 for survivavility
no int.. with dbss mace
Dex-I'm not exactly sure since I haven't been in niff in years but not alot.. Just enough to hit the monsters there
Luk- Nah.. Don't need it.. Spend it on str.

If you have any more question or what not.. Feel free to ask me.. Oh and also, You need a priest that knows the map to niffheim to warp you there.. Either you have your own priest to warp you there or either have a friend warp you there or pay them for the blue gemstone.. It would only be like 1k

The way i niff is with 2 people, i have the above gears except for DL valk, i am able to achieve fairly large  mobs. when the mob is dismantled a bs greeds all loots :)
by the time her cart and weight are maxxed its usually around the 6~7m mark per hour or so..

A blacksmith can do just fine just like what everyone else has told you.
The difference for a ws mobbing there is possible more damage with Maximum over-thrust(costs some money to use) and cart boost to get rid of agi down and/or more walking speed while mobbing.

this chat is entertaining

anyway just an input for the initial topic, if you decide to go with using 2 meat accessories, then 1 SR + 1 HP is the same as 2 HPs due to how the card formulas work.  More than likely you'll want to use a blazer though

Seems like a cool formula :O

S> SR x2 for your equips  (Y)

Hell Poodle's definitely worth getting as far as the topic goes just to keep from losing exp at higher levels.

But poison spores is just as much money as niff, and even better if you have the map to yourself. With Blazer and Mimic accessories it's easy to make 4-5 mil an hour, and if you get lucky with the drops you can make around 8. Not to mention it's a lot more relaxing since there's no fear of dying or need to spam consumables.

Other places to consider for making money are geffenia, but I've never tried that without mjolnir, and anolians, which are dependent on brooch drops. So the profit for Anolians can range from 2-3 mil an hour to around 20 mil (I'm not entirely sure how much a brooch is worth these days.)

^this

you need to know what you're doing in geffenia, imo its not really worth farming there if you don't have a mjo. I like it there anyway though just as a change of scenary, I find that its a LITTLE better than niff/spores w/o mjo, but not by much.  Plus you pretty much need to finish the sign quest and/or have a kafra clip
