personally, i would recommend cake farming pretty much whatever class you are (even though it's best for thief-classes with steal). before you go to Toy Factory 2, find the quest npc in Toy Factory 1 that is down and left of the middle. (there's another quest npc somewhere around the top right of the map, but i've never been able to try that quest.) you can take both quests at the same time. kill the red and green Cookies. you get exp and boxes from the dude.
 
Old Purple Boxes have been selling for around 50-60k, and Old Blue Boxes 15-20k. Pieces of Cake will usually sell for around 5k, and Well Baked Cookies for 1.5k. Look for players with Buying Shops for cake and cookies. And if you're not doing so well in TF2, just kill the cookies on the first level for a while, and repeat the quests as many times as you want.

if Stormy Knight harasses you in TF2, feel free to holler on Main chat and someone will usually rush to kill it. /ho
