Hey, so I just joined, and uhm~ well, already running into trouble, but first;

My name is Tassy Lawrence and I'm from the Netherlands Antilles, a friend recommended this game to me, but he showed me a server for
which I had to pay to play. >0<
Regardless, I found this server, which is completely free, so yaaaaay~

Anyway, as I was saying, I'm running into trouble launching the game. =<
I patched the game and I searched for executables in the folder, one that patched another thing, but blech, the game still won't launch.
Basically, what happens is; click -> patcher -> click -> gone, nothing happens, kaput.
It's a bit frustrating, I was really looking forward to trying a new game. :I

Have you run the kRO and renewal patcher?  If it still doesn't work, try a fresh install and running the game without and patching o;

Are you really from netherlands cuz your profile say your local time is those in Eastern which has no where near Netherlands.

And no, I'm not from the Netherlands, I'm from the Netherlands Antilles,  which used to be part of the Netherlands
untill 2010.
I live in Willemstad, which is located on Curaçao~

There's the kRO patcher and aRO patcher, both have a start game button. But the ones with the aRO news is the patcher you should use to start the game, or you can run Animus.exe, but both patchers need to finish patching :|

Isn't it, like, forbidden to act like one? .~.

Anyway, yeah, I tried the Animus.exe, but it didn't work.
Though, it did work on a WinXP machine, so all I have to do maybe is install the game under XP compatability mode. n.n
Because using the Animus.exe does the same as launching from the patcher- absolutely nothing. :I

EDIT::

Yaaaaay, it's working now!!
After installing (and setting) everything under WinXP mode, everything worked!!
I don't know if it's actually the WinXP settings or the renewal, but at least everything is booting now, as it should. =D
It's such a shame that I can't run this in eyefinity though. :I

Welcome to Animus! :D

The only EXEs you need to use are Ragnarok_RE, which is sometimes referred to as Renewal (or rsu-kro-renewal-lite if you're having issues with patching), and animuspatcher (or just animus if you don't want to patch for whatever reason, like running multiple clients).

yeah, RO seems to be the most compatible with WinXP, but it should be compatible with win7. whatever works~!
and what is this eyefinity thing? from what i gather, it has to do with graphics? perhaps on multiple screens? (feels like a noob for not having heard of this shiny thing.)

Are you the admin of your computer? Is the w/e program control thing on still? The pop up whenever you run an "untrusted" EXE?
have you tried run as admin? not that it matters now if its working :<

Uhm, my friends, none of them really play any games and weren't really interested in playing one. ;3

As for a guild, I managed to join Anima Reborn, they're really nice folk. =)
