Title: CT Damage
Post by: Papercut the Madhatter on February 18, 2012, 05:04:24 pm
How much would a fully geared WS's CT hurt another geared up player?
I hurt like, 5k on someone without great gear, and 3k on someone who had decent gear, and only 1k with, I'm guessing, geared up. I only have 91+12 str, and my cart was only 7500 full. So, do you think when I get a Meg, and a DSS Mjol, I'll do more damage? I'm looking for 3-5k each CT for me to stay with a WS in PvP.

No matter what, CT always tickles me with the right armor. A Mjol would boost the damage, yes, but I think you should be using an IP before Mjol.

See, that's what I thought, too. But, I was thinking with the Dopp, I'd be able to spam it faster, and the two Sams would make it hurt close to a IP. More hits = more power?
Anyway, when you say 'tickle' what are you referring to? Lol. How much damage does it do?

Like 500-900 in the middle of WoE. I don't even have to pot it off sometimes. (and that's with Mjol).

What about IP? I know having fun is more important than damage, but I don't wanna be useless in WoE. D:

I thought DTThanatos would be better

S is only 'cause of the Bapho.
But eeeh I never played WS so eh.
But are you aware you want a thanatos card? there's only 1 in the server if I recall. =P

Well, I read on the WS discussion that a DSS is the best. What does Thanthos even do?

It does the same thing IP does but in Card form...

Oh, damn. I need that. xD How much would that sucker cost?

There has to be a way that WS's can WoE without sucking, tho. I know there is. D:

White Smiths already do fine without, that is just the best card for damage.

Well, I really rather not JUST do 500-900damage to them. I understand that players will of course have reduction armour. But, you still see them hitting high numbers. D:

There is a way to make it not tickle, it's pretty easy actually.

It's just that every WS I've encountered is so easely predictable. =P

Well, do you think an Ice Pick would make much difference? I understand how I gotta switch between weapons and junk..

Other than the Thanthos Card, and Ice Pick, how am I suppose to hurt someone 3k, or so,  with a Mjol?

WoE = Team play.

You can reduce all damage down to "nothing" in a given situation, but those same circumstances won't always be in play.

You can get an Endow for starters...

That's what I figured. In that case, I can just hope that some people won't use wind armour. xD

Holy Armor also reduces damage...which is why you should carry Cursed water. I'd probably go with Earth assuming they go Wind. Next choice is Fire or Shadow.

Thanks. I'm not to good with the element strengths and weakness yet.

In woe you should mainline Aspersio on WS.  The only time it won't be doing max damage is against Holy armors at which point you will only have misses and can move on to better things.

:D Sounds great! Simple, too!

basically what Auu meant was. You guys go in with mjol so people know its going to be a wind element attack. Endowing/Aspersio would help.

Also dun worry about solo damage. Woe is teamwork so everyone else can finish the job if worked well together.

They think it's going to be wind, gotta be sneaky. <3 I'm not to worried about my solo damage, I just wanna be able to take someone out if they step up to me, ya know?

Have an Earth Swordmace and an Ice Pick.

Why the Earth one?
What about the Combat Knife?

Because Mjolnir is Wind property and they'll switch to a wind armor to counter. That's where you break out the Earth Swordmace since Earth > Wind.

:D Does it need any special carding, as well? Or, just wreck until they notice I switched, as well, and then, Switch back to Mjol? xD

They don't have a slot so don't worry about it. And that's where Ice Pick comes in, I guess.
