Hey there, it's been a while since I last played RO, willing to play again I found out this server. Well, the forum is attractive but I would like to know the players impressions and opinions about the server, if the players are friendly and helpful, if the staff is present, if the server is as attractive as the forum... I do could search out the forum and make my own answers but I want a more directly opinion from the players, if they want to me this favor.

I think I made it a little formal, it's not a funny introduction, but thanks in advance  :-X

Now that I am done with the welcoming, let me share a few words with you. First of all, create an account and a character, log in the game, play a couple of minutes, then stop. That will be your first impression. First impression is always the strongest in term of conviction and it will determine whether you will stay or not. The rest doesn't really matter.
Honestly, I can sugarcoat everything and make it all fine and dandy for you, writing up tales that warms your heart, or sing songs about this server that put Solomon to shame. But in the end, the decision is still up to you, follow your own guts and feeling.

So, if you still want my impression and opinion, then by all means I will entertain you.

The denizens of the server are helpful, be it inside the game, or outside here in the forum. They are not shy to lend their hand or share their wisdom when you stumbled upon rocky path. Stay long enough and you will recognize few familiar names in the main chat. That is also where and when you will get to decide their characteristic (as not every nook and cranny of the game are filled with kind people) and choose whether you will associate yourself with them, or not.

The staffs are here at times, but I'd wager that they are more active outside the game, as in forum and putting up patches, for example. You may choose to contact them through the support ticket in the main website if you are having troubles or enquiries that other players might not be able to answer, although I would recommend that you first read the rules and understand them before doing so.

So, to conclude my long winding post, I wish you good luck in making your decision. /heh

Hello & Welcome

To answer some of the questions in your post:
1. The population overall is friendly and helpful, however, like any other server there will always be some bad apples. In my opinion, the friendly and helpful players greatly outnumber the bad apples.

2. Most of the Staff is active in different ways.
For example, Haine and Tesla are active by doing tickets.
The PRs are more active in game by talking with the players.
Event GMs, like myself are active by coming in game to chat with players as well as hosting events. Weekly I host Match Me (http://www.animusro.com/forums/index.php/topic,103421.0.html), I have been pretty busy lately, but I've been trying to fit events in when I can.
Fidelis is working behind the scenes to code things (quests/events/updates/etc) and fix bugs and so on.

welcome, Envy! ^^

i think one of this server's best qualities is it's loyal and friendly community. that goes for in-game as well as on the forums. some players will come and go, but the core of the community has stayed through thick and thin, and they want new players to feel welcome. just be vocal on main chat and forums and you'll meet lots of awesome people. also consider joining a guild! people will generally be willing to help you out whenever they have time.

Hey guys, I'm back, thanks for the answers =]

The community seems to be friendly, I was really expecting this, but I still have to make my impressions just like Flora said. I'm a little out of time these days with some personal problems, but I do hope to join the game and the community as soon as I can.
