Title: At first...
Post by: Flora on December 22, 2011, 10:08:45 am
... the orange blob of jelly was a cute and quiet little thing,
Eager to follow after my footsteps,
Making some emotions, like /hmm /heh /no1 randomly.

But as time goes by, it grew smarter...

And perhaps too smart.

Now it shouts at me for not feeding it the moment its tummy is empty,
And makes ungrateful comments about how much I have been overfeeding it, even when it was only a tiny, yellow herb...
Spamming my chat with "la la la"s a few times in a row whenever I hit some mobs,
And flipped its switch the moment a loot touched the ground.

So, I have been thinking... perhaps storing that jelly into Kafra's Bank is the solution.

But that jelly has been with me since my novice days,
Been through the rough together with me,
Be it wolves, undead orcs, or metalings...

But now, the moment it set sight on a box, or ginger bread cookies...

"Kill! Kill! Die! Die!"
"Kill! Kill! Die! Die!"
"Kill! Kill! Die! Die!"
"Kill! Kill! Die! Die!"

... I don't really want to turn it into an egg, or switch with a brand new poring egg and am looking for alternative solution. /hlp

tl;dr - Any way to silence or reduce a pet's chat? Excessive spamming mode is not welcomed especially when I gather up a few mobs... /sob

I still /lv my Drops though.

lol cute.

use a separate chat?

or download grftool from rms tool section, open the abdata grf, search for pettalktable.xml, extract it, edit it with notepad or dreamweaver and drag into your data folder.

lol cute.

use a separate chat?

How do I do that? Both of my chat tabs are... pretty much the same, I think.. /?

or download grftool from rms tool section, open the abdata grf, search for pettalktable.xml, extract it, edit it with notepad or dreamweaver and drag into your data folder.

Is this legal? /hmm

In any case, thank you very much for your help!

on the top right of your chat window, there should be some icons. click on the second icon and turn off public log. mind, this also turns off public and main chat.

and yes, it's legal.
