don't be shy about using Main chat to see if anyone can help you. just ask politely and someone usually answers. sometimes players are sitting around looking for something to do and wouldn't mind helping you. :3

also ratemyserver.net is a good site for item and monster info, among many other things!
and i like to use irowiki.org for quest guides.
