Title: Why does the price of ads in game go up?

Topic subject. I'm just wondering. Never really understood why.

Okay, but who sets it? Who decided to start selling them for more and everyone else goes along with it? Or is there a set reason and everyone knows it.

Someone begins to raise their price and hopes for someone to buy. Since they either use Prontera or Trade chat to advertise, others see and also raise their prices. At first buyers will complain but then they get used it and that's how the prices get set.

ADs are pretty much high in demand now with the new pcb like-account bound lower headgears.

So it's natural that they go up a bit if everyone's buying.

No one really sets it. People price by what they feel. It's competition, if someone's selling higher than you, you either try to sell at their price or lower it slightly.

Yeah that makes sense. It's just annoying because as ad price goes up so does the price of most MvP carded gear and such.

I've seen MVP cards go from 22mil to 27mil in a short time. Same with the people trying to charge 190z for GJ, I guess.

They tend to also skyrocket around Christmas time, too.

It's called inflation.
The longer people play the more money they get in game
the more money people have the more they're willing to pay for other items.

Also keep in mind that there have been alot of new good items added to the webshop this fall.
This means ads are very much in demand.

It's pretty ridiculous how much the ad prices can change so suddenly. I was selling my ads for 1.4m and I thought it was a lot but really it was really really cheap. 1.4 was pretty average a week before I sold it. I need to keep with the times.

Almost everything right now is pretty expensive, I remember back in the days when GJ was like 100z.

Ehh , the Ad inflation atm is pretty much an unwanted thing for the servers current state. Talis should seriously consider
allowing people to make a little Ad credit in game. It will benefit the server more . He will get more players and more donaters. Its not bad if people make a small amount of Ad credit ingame . It seems the server has more than required AD sinks already.

Indeed. Personally I stopped buying ads when they went above 1m but that won't really change anything since others will continue to buy no matter the price.

It's all about supply and demand though. The concept of "lets all stop buying ads at 1.7m" is never going to work. And the price atm is nothing compared to what its going to be at xmas.

At least every cent spent on ads in xmas is a very good investment.
