The official server.
I didn't really know where to put this, since it's technically talking about another server. In any case, it'll be moved if needed.

My friend and I wanna play on the official RO. We know it's a lot harder, and a lot of things aren't the same as aRO.

I was wondering if anyone could help me choose a good starting class. We'll both have merchants for Vending, but we'll try to stick on One character up to 3rd job.

We were thinking of a Tank/Buff. Knight/Sader and a Priest. But then, we thought about not having Zeny.. So I mentioned a Rogue with Gank. But, that knocks out either the Buffer or Tank...

So, as you can see, we kinda need help. Any suggestions?

RK is one of the better 3rd Classes at present. Best in PVE, Decent in PVP.
Having a priest around is quite good. Rogue is the way to go if you are farming items but Knight is the way to go if you are planning in advance. Also duel client a mage and leech it and make it a sage - You will be need Endows regardless of which char you play.

So, we were right about thinking with the classes abilities. Common sense, really. D:
What would you recommend for us at first? Knight and Rogue, or Rogue Priest, or Knight and Priest?

Just so we can get started.

I levelled Knight and priest together till 70s and then just used priest to heal me up and stuff till Knight made it to Trans.

I made a rogue exclusively for farming Biblian and nothing more. I leeched my Forger smith with my Rogue till 80s and yea Smithing is cool here.

Mages can level quite fast on their own but you can leech them too. ( 10-20 Spores, 20-30 Pecoes , 30-45 Ants, 45- 60 Biblian, 60-70 Savages, 70-85 Grand Pecoes)

Bard, and you'll be golden. I made a Bard on iRO, and it was amazing - so many party invitations, it wasn't even funny.

Even when I was an Archer, people friend-ed the crap outta me when they knew I was going to pick Bard.

And Knights are always excellent classes for the budgeted.  They can tank, endure mob, get heavy hits with npc gear.

Okay. I don't really wanna make a bard, because they don't look fun, and that's the only reason we're playing iro.
BUT, we'll start with a Knight and Rogue as mains. For easy tanking on small mobs, and money making. Then, we'll work our way up a Priest and Sage.

Any other tips or hints we need to know?

Use Ragial.com before you sell anything. In iRO almost everything has a use so be careful what you NPC.
And dont try to buy WP energy from people ingame - a lot of them scam.

Why noone say anything about hunter? They're good in pve esp with priest.

At the other guy, we're only playing this for fun, so we don't want to be a hunter. xD

Well, I just now got it installed. Had to get my brother to download it for me, because mine would get 'interrupted' when it had three seconds left. Happened multiple times.
I thought they only had three servers, and one you had to pay for?

yeah Valk and Ygg are free, Ymir got a paywall but it's also free after passing the paywall.

Lawl, I'm on Ygg server, tho.
Got to level 10/10, lagged a hell of a lot, didn't know where to train after that, so I'm waiting on my friend to play with me on it.
