Title: About bows...
Post by: IP IR II ID IE on October 12, 2011, 05:01:19 pm
So i was always wondering this.
Why do hunters always use +10DDTT bows and never +10DDSS or +10DDST.
I did a little bit of math (not too much) but they all seem to be pretty close to the exact same stats but i was wondering why there is no variations.
The only other variation i've seen was a rouge using a +10DSwTT bow. @.@

Its easy enough to hit high enough breakpoints on hunters that a DDTT is the (generally) the best most carding for general things. DDTS used to be popular with rogues though, since they lack the innate insane dex buffing moves, and bonuses the archer branch gets.

Do you mean never, or the only other? My old comp used to actually be a DTTSw for my Sniper/Stalker. (Eww at DSwTT)
It has to do with how the damage is compounded, 65 attack simply adds a lot less damage than 20% with high attack in comparison

Call me crazy but you just called your own bow ew. DTTSw and DSwTT is the same.

No, I just find the latter carding order to be abstract and irritating. o.O It was a decent bow before I uncarded it, albeit lacked aspd on Stalker and could have been stronger on Sniper.

I personally find that I do the same job with my rudra bow. And it was a bit less expensive. :D

If you're going DDTSw on a Sniper it will be a huge issue, specially if you're going CRIT (if you're not going to touch CRIT at all, should be kinda-okay, not a recommendation tho). Because Double Attack interfers with the CRITs and viceversa.

I really never found it a 'huge' issue on my Sniper, being only 1/20.. and seeing as it was a DTTSw, not a DDTSw, it functioned just the same for me as any other common DDTT.
