Title: ET runs
Post by: @schoLary@ on August 30, 2011, 06:15:37 pm
Can anyone give me the list of restrictions on doing ET with a party?
Not on skills but the restrictions on if we fail/run out of time.

If you run out of time, you get kicked out?

If any party member leaves their party while inside the dungeon, they will be kicked out and sent back to their save point! However, they can be re invited to the party and reenter the tower. Taming any monster or killing the last monster on a floor with a mercenary will cause the instance to not register the kill, and the portal to the next floor will not open.
If a player is forced to leave the tower, they can re-enter by talking to the stone on the Misty Island again. The exit portal on the 1st floor will warp the player to the floor after the most recent boss floor they have cleared. However, the portal does not correctly warp a player to 26, 51, or 76; the player should use the Immortal Braizer instead to get to those floors.
The Endless Tower instance lasts until the party either gives up or runs out of time, after which time all players will be teleported out of the dungeon.
There is no limit on how many instances a party can create within the 4 hour limit. A new instance can be created under a different party leader if the previous instance was destroyed. Once the time limit is up, there is a 6 day 20 hour cooldown period for all party members in which they cannot enter a new Endless Tower instance. However, additional instances will not allow access to additional MVPs.

Was anything changed specifically on our server?

We have an IP block. No two people sharing an IP address can be in the same instance though they can be in separate instances (if I'm remembering correctly). I'm not sure about any other changes specific to our server.

Does this feature work on our server? If it isn't, why the heck not? DC's suck at some times and wasting our ashes to go back is ridiculous. One of my friends tried and said nothing happened since there was no exit portal.

There an npc on the wall on the first floor next to where you first warp in. 1 ash is equivalent to 25 floors. You can go up to 75, from there you have to walk the rest.

My intentions are not to advertise just to get this clear but if it not a good post then u can remove it Tiamat xD But on another server, i was doing an ET run and i died from solo Ifrit with my sniper*damn his EQ* and i tried using the ashes which i had like 2 of them but they didn't work. I double clicked on it a few times but nothing happened. Was it just that server or im not using it right or something like that.

It works correctly on our server. You talk to one of the lamps on the first floor and a chat prompts you.

You need 3. With 3 = floor 76, Ifrit is on floor 85, so yes.

Got a question, is it a total of 7 days? Or is it 6 days and 20 hours like on the wiki? Cause when I checked it like half an hour ago it said 32 hours. : / I did a run last week on a Monday.

It should be 6 days according to the server script.
EDIT: Darn, I figured it out why. It's actually 6 days, but it says 7 days when you check the stone. You should still be able to enter the instance after 6 days, though. Will change it when there's an opportunity to do it.

Glad to know. My party was worried for a second. XD

I had knowledge of the brazier. I was wondering more on the first 2 sentences of my quote.

From the looks of it, if a player DC's or is forced to respawn, they should: Be able to re-enter ET, and then upon entering the first floor, there should be a warp portal to where you can go through and it will take you the floor after the most recent boss floor that you completed (ie. floors 56, 61, 66, 71). According to the quote from iRO Wiki, you should only need to use the ashes to get floors 26, 51 and 76.

Okay, my group just passed ET for the first time. At least my first time as party leader. How do we go challenge Naght? Do we climb it again and kill Eint again and another room opens up for Naght, can we just go straight to Naght instead or what?

You must climb the tower a second time to face Naght. You also have to fight Eint again. After you kill Eint, you go to the top right and click on the dialogue circle. You'll then be transported to the 101 floor where Naght awaits. You have to kill him with whatever time you have left I believe.

We have the ashes in place instead of the portal. That's how the eathena release is anyway, since I don't think it'd been changed. The ashes work fine, (as far as I know, no one has complained) you just have to do a bit of walking depending on where your party is.

I spent one ET run being dc'd/error'd about 7-10 times between like 70-90ish. It was so obnoxious to walk back constantly, and you only get so many ashes.

I have spent many times doing the same thing when my internet connection is unstable. It just seems more convenient to implement the portal as well (seeing as how iRO has both the ashes and the portal) You can spend a good 10 minutes walking from floor 1-75+. It's even worse when your character cannot use Agi Up, Sleips or a Peco.

As you can read it's not working on iRO either so...

If you read it correctly, you'd notice it said the portal doesn't correctly warp to floors 26, 51 or 76. And that if you wish to go to those floors you must use the ashes. Nowhere does it say that the portal is completely broken.
