My level 95 monk have a IC + full int build for asura. Gears: Kaho DI / vesper mid Garm Claw [Hydra] / Quad AK Mace DL Sleip Sting Brys / Glove
However, I'm doing more damage with garm claw than my mace. The damage range from 20k+ with mace and 30k-ish with garm. (Tested on Arc-angeling) Is that normal to mvps on non-pvp maps?

That's strange, since asura takes on neutral element regardless of endow/weapon property.
Uh, maybe your ATK is so low that the quad AK mace ends up giving less attack than the Garm Claw. What's your STR?

I have noticed quad maces sometimes have done lower damage, since asura also relies on your ATK. I think the ATK on the Garm Claw is over powering the ATK the mace gives (which renders the AK cards less useful). Basically you would need to have enough str to make your ATK when equipped with a mace to make the AK cards increase that damage past your Garm Claw's damage. Going to give an example:
Now my Champ with: 82+18 str 1+8 agi 46+6 vit 35+16 int 96+19 dex 1+3 luk
Has 375+56 ATK with Blessing, DI Ewe and +8 Garm Claw[AK]. With a +10 Mace, his ATK is 265+20. Also his SP is 752. Now lemme plug in the stuff (I'll just be adding the numbers in the ATK together with this):
So with my current stats and equip my +8 Garm Claw does 36773 Base damage to MvPs (I am not going to include a card effect into Garm Claw to mimic your damage to MvPs)
And this is what a mace does to MvPs with 4 AKs cards in it, 44397. So unless Arc-Angeling doesn't count as a boss for us, you should be doing more damage with the mace. If he doesn't count as a boss, then what you're saying about doing 10k+ more damage with a garm claw seems to make sense (since the base damage from the mace without the AK cards is 24655.

Well he's running IC with full int build on a monk so I'd assume he's running some real low str. Waiting on OP. >:l

With IC and full int, I have 1 base str + the bonus str from kaho + job levels + level 10 blessing + brys... so would roughly be about 45 str total.
I get about 1.2k sp, and I asura with full sp.

Yeah that's your problem there. You need higher STR than INT for asura build, and for the mace to give better damage. Should change that around. /ok

changed it to full int and 92 base str now. gears have also been changed to dual berze + DI/DL combo. 100k ish on AK mace now :D
I still prefer ic though ._.

You don't need IC, but you could lower your int for dex if your casting isn't that fast. Int doesn't give that big of an SP bonus.
Use a Morpheus Shawl if you want even more SP.
