Title: my laptop keyboard
Post by: Carlo1994 on August 09, 2011, 02:12:00 am
You know how people use hotkeys to cast spells much faster? Well my hotbkeys f1-f12 or w/e has those alternate uses. For example: my f1 button isn't just a hotkey for my skill it also makes my screen brighter/darkerand when I press it,it doesn't activate the skill places in that hotkeu, but makes my screen brighter For me to use the hotkeys I gotta hold down a key called Fn to use the hotkeys and when I let go, it goes back to making my screen bright or w/e. Finally, my question is, Is there a way to permanently switch the keys so I do t have to hold fn

It depends on what kind of laptop you have. Mine has a special key that switches fn on and off, but a lot of brands do it with Fn + NumLock combo. Try that if you have it ???
If that doesn't work you can just change the hotkeys in RO. Press ESC in RO until the menu pops up, then click shortcut configuration. You can change those to any keys you want. You don't have to use F1-F12

For hp it looks like using fn+numlk should work, but it still just depends on your keyboard. If you have a number pad on your letter keys, don't try to use it and just change it in RO. For example, some keyboards have numbers on u,i,o,j,k,l, etc keys. If you try and switch Fn you might start typing numbers instead of those letters! :o
Better change it in RO like I said.
