Title: Why did my topic get closed?
Post by: Ryu on August 03, 2011, 09:36:12 am
Why did my suggestion thread get closed?

http://www.animusro.com/forums/index.php/topic,110780.0.html

GM Haine says
Renaming the original topic doesn't make it okay.

What do you mean? Ok first of all, my old thread died and people didnt like that i revived it so i made a new one. Secondly my old thread has not been declined before and thirdly there were people that supported my idea, not like it wasn't something that no one wanted or didn't like.
I don't mind if you guys don't reopen the thread, im just wondering why did you have to close it? Please reply.

If your topic is dead, it means it's dead. You don't need to create a new one. All you did was name your topic to "died", which just means you created a duplicate topic, which automatically causes a thread to become declined.

So the suggestion or idea is declined to no matter how many supports it gets?

EDIT: and by renaming it DIED i didnt mean that i killed it. if you look at the posts theres one from May and then it jumps to July. THATS what i meant by dead. 2 players even pointed it out.

It's been over 2 monthes that the topic has not been active.

dosn't anybody know the forum rules anymore?...

do not revive old threads, just make a new topic and copy the URL for the topic
i cant revive my own thread? >_>
Not if it was older than 2 months since the last post. At least that's what I remember.

No, your ORIGINAL topic isn't declined, it could still be considered by staff to be implemented. It's your DUPLICATE topic that is declined. We move it there instead of simply just deleting it.

You can clean up your original post still if you wish, so when it gets reviewed it has the same effect as your new topic. If a topic has died though, I would avoid posting in it.

Is there by any chance a way for me to copy my new topic's first post and paste it onto my original topic's first post? It took some time for me to upload the pictures and place them.
