about to make a Clown for the very first time, and im wondering whats better for pvp/woe base?

From a WoE perspective, yes. You're going to be a support class, after all, rather than a killer,
so TG really isn't beneficial.

As for PvP usage, I cannot comment there.

It doesn't matter for PvP because your not going to be killing there either LOL and if you are it's with TC...

I'll have to agree. It's all about DDV with a Clown.

If it was a Gypsy, I'd say go with a TTV instead.

Unless I'm horribly mistaken somewhere:

DTV = Hybrid

It'd be a compromise really if you want to level your Clown with his Electric Guitar/general PvM usage. You'd still be able to
take advantage of the unbreakable element for PvP/WoE, but it wouldn't be as effective as it could be in WoE.
PvP relies on killing luck with Tarot rather than AV as has been stated...

Songs/ensembles don't have aftercast delay (only clown skills that do are FJ, Tarot CoF, AV, and Pang Voice), so you can more easily get 190 ASPD for spammage, while buffing up your Clown's other stats without worrying about AGI.

Most people would probably advise leveling the Clown with a DDTT C.Bow until you can leech it as such.  But the option is still there, either way.

DTV like the above said it's for AV damage but to be honest Clowns are gimped with that since Def>AV and you'll be dead before you some how do any serious damage...

For PvM if your Leveling then yea a Bow seems better.

I used HHV EG for pvp, worked fine :o

But then again, clown is not a class u should pvp with>

For woe DDV the best.

Naw. TTH was good 3-4 years ago. I use to pvp with it when I main'd a clown. But Dreamer is right. Now, a lot of ppl stack def and AV damage can be reduced easily. With Kiels, you can just spam tarot until you get coma.
