Title: Worth opening OBBs and OVBs?

Or are they just vending fodder?

Wondering what to do with my collection.

As far as I recall there isn't an updated list of what's in them and since they've been added to/modified quite a lot over the years... Well I have no idea what kind of items you get out of them these days.

I think they should just remove any unnecessary crap and just have SQI ingred and equip/armor

I still open them just for the fun, I never tend to profit off anything that got a huge lists of items inside. And even then, with all the OVPs I had from the halloween event, ended up happy with the items I got and NPC'd, lol.

The recent updates added a lot of etc crap into the boxes thus reducing the chances to get anything good.

They are fun to open, and people buy them if they are cheap, technically not really worth opening if you're after valuable things.

I would buy them if they were cheaper :P or use them in my events.

I buy them sometimes at 10k each . They are OK I guess since you can make them drop off any monster. But it seems like OBBs are presently better than OVBS. I have got 4-5 good items including slotted accessories(from the past 4000 boxes) and it has always been OBBs. OVBs dont seem to even give mediocre stuff like Saints Robe[1] , Plates[1] like it used to in the past. Imo,The chance to get anything good from OVB is lesser than that from OBBs haha.

Huh, interesting thoughts. I guess I'll hold onto them a little longer, as far as the OVBs are concerned anyway. I have always liked opening OBBs~
