Title: Niffin- need some tips
Post by: NNV on March 10, 2011, 09:08:12 pm
Once again i find myself in conflict with my gear. This time with my hellpoodle ring and blazer. I think it would be more efficient if i change to mastelas over meats to get improve my performance.
My question being, should I? What could i replace the hellpoodle with?

mastelas do heal waaaaaaay more and weigh alot less but i cant remember if the pricing is worth the difference but the healing sure is depending on which your going for? if you want to save the zeny stick with meats. if you dont mind spending the extra zeny and almost wanna never die mestelas kick ass

Either replace the hell poodle with a meg or don't replace it at all unless someone is holding a gun to your head.

I'd love to see a chart showing the weight, cost, and heal rate of: Meat vs Meat w/ Poodle vs Meat w/ SprRabbit vs Mastelas vs Cake vs WhiteSlim. Cakes aren't really a plausible option (in my opinion) but finally knowing the best option would be great!
I can say from personal experience that with mastelas you can find yourself frantically spamming your hotkey when you've got an oversized mob. I'd imagine that that situation occurs more when using meat w/poodle. Then again, I rarely ever knew when to stop mobbing big. Sometimes you just gotta fly wing away. :'(
As far as replacing Hellpoodle: Mimic card is good if you've got great luck with OBBs. I personally don't though. The plasma card is also neat to filling in the slot. It'll drop an elemental pot or two every mob (sometimes about 4 a mob. @_@.) Greatest General card can give you more ATK with hyper spirit spheres. (.02% chance per attack though. Bapho may make it proc incredibly fast) Owl Duke for Impostio Manus lvl3 Hydro card does cast cancel at 10% per attack and you can try it out mine if you'd like. (this is verrryyy useful with a fast ASPD character and it can stop alot of those decrease agilitys, Dullahan's crit, etc.) You can also try out my Raydric Archer card which makes demons drop a box of resentment every 1/100 or 1/200 kills. :P (box of resentment gives 20 atk for 60 seconds. It's hardly worth it.)
I heard somewhere that blazer's effect can't be stacked. :'( Good luck mobbin' Nestro!

Yea.. so.. rather than pay 100mil for equipment on a smith... get a monk.. Soul Ring, loli ruri, teddy bear shield. Steel Body. Find something you want to level and make some money at the same time. Ninja 98, and finally transed my first trans, Sage to Professor! Or, you know, reverse magic monk mobbing.
BWAHAHAHAHA

the plasma sounds great. what does the meg do though?

wtf is up with all these radical ideas? He needs to choose an accessory: not a damn character. @_@

Meg gives +15 +45 strength. If you've got a few 100mil laying around, make the SQI so you can grind slightly better in s*******ton. Ice's mob move is probably magnus exorcism with another client high priest.

lol. otherwise I'd use plasma or mimic (if they fixed it) or another blazer. elemental pots are useful. idk how well they vend. and blazers don't stack but its just separate (so technically doubled) proc chance.

Ninja uses Raging Dragon, Fire Ball and Heaven Drive on Sage. On a Wizard I'd use Meteor Storm, on a Gunslinger I'd use Desperado, or a Shotgun. Sin i'd use Grimtooth and Poison Bombs. Crusader I'd use Grand Cross. Rogue. Do I even have to say? I'm not sure if I could get away with arrow shower, but I bet I could (triple bow guardian, bloodied shackle, should be hitting 3k with arrow shower).

Megs give +45 strength to everything but sins and monks.

If you already have a Hell Poodle Ring, I think you might as well stick with Meats until you rich enough to afford a Meg like other people have suggested. I think it also depends on why you're Niffing; are you there to level or make money? If you're trying to save up money, perhaps sticking to your Hell Poodle + Meat would be cheaper than resorting to Mastelas. But if you're there to level, you might as well efficiently stay alive and switch over to Mastelas.

i find it kinda interesting how a hellpoodle and a spring rabbit have a better effect then two hellpoodles. nonetheless, this chart should DEFINITELY go in the wiki.

Agreed, after he fixes the Mastela cost. It should be 638z-850z. Also, I think he should include HP recovered per zeny in his chart. ;D i.e. Meat w/Poodle and w/Rabbit: 714hp/38z = 18.79hp/z i.e.2 Mastela: 1489hp/638z = 2.33hp/z. This definitely proves Meat w/Poodle&Rabbit is better than mastelas as far as zeny and weight is concerned. Mastelas still have the advantage of keeping 2 accessory slots open and less need for spammabilty. White slims are just ewwww... =P

Perhaps, but I don't need to pay 10-20mil in accessories for Mastela Fruit to be useful, I could simply use a couple of Safety Rings (+6 def), or a Safety Ring and an Armor Charm (+8 def total) if I'm using Padded Armor(7 def), or 2 Eye of Dullahan (8% reduction against undead monsters). I'd rather have burst healing than have to spam the hotkey I have the healing item under to survive. They might cost more, but they'll last a loooot longer.

i dont think switching mast is going to give u a better profit u should grab some just incase of a big mob and u cant handle then u use the back-up mast to save ur butt But u can do dual blazers, i think dual blazers stack or if ur rich Meg but u really dont need any other acc
