Hey everyone! Welcome to my own private corner space on the forums.
First I'd like to thank GM Haine for making the aRO Videos section I had suggested a few months back, and hope other suggestions get their fair share of attention as well.
I highly urge anyone interested in making their own videos to check out Linmakana's Advanced AnimusRO Recording Guide (http://www.animusro.com/forums/index.php/topic,99638.0.html) for more details!

My video listing starts from the second post!
Short introduction: I've been mostly a lurker of the aRO forums for the +4 years I've been around, posting here or there, nothing really important ;> If you do see me in-game, I'm either afk, or running around and dying. I rarely PvP, and there have only been a few times I participated in PvP wars. Now since I don't PvP, what about WoE? Do stats really matter? Take a look, info current as of posting this:

Holy Crap! The K/D ratio has been up for like 8 months and STILL haven't broken 200 kills? Yep that's me!
Anyways, I've main'ed High/Wizard for all my time here and there's still plenty I don't know about the class.
So most of my videos will show me playing a wizard, not surprisingly.
For recording aRO I use Fraps, and for editting I use Adobe Premiere Pro CS4, and occasionally Camtasia Studio 7. While I also use Hypercam to record every once in a while, I really do prefer Fraps over Hypercam, because of its quality and simplicity. The best codec I found for Hypercam is Xvid, which does its job nicely, but Xvid's temporal compression is incompatible with Premiere Pro, forcing me to use Camtasia Studio should I Hypercam. Fraps definitely isn't for everyone to use however, I have a secondary internal hard drive so Fraps can flush all that data without a hiccup, and even then my Intel Core2 Quad is stressed above 90% overall while doing so.
Intel Core2 Q8300 @ 2.5 GHz (Cheap Quad Core due to low cpu cache)
Nvidia GeForce GT 240 (512 GDDR5 ram; I don't really play much games so it works for me)
Dual Boot: Windows 7 Ultimate + Windows XP Professional (I use XP primarily and it's what I play aRO in)
8 GB of DDR3-1066 ram (Of course XP only uses less than half that, so I boot into Win 7 to edit videos most of the time)
Two HDDs; one for storage/Fraps'ing
I'm actually a beginner in using Video Editors (and even worse in its counterparts Photoshop and Sound Editors), only having begun making videos in May 2010, so I have a lot to learn if I want to make super awesome videos. While I have had plenty fun making some videos, not all of them were made with the same effort.

I'll use this thread to post any personal aRO videos I make that does not deserve its own separate topic, and will add some soon!
Last but not least thanks for watching my videos!
