Title: What does the confusion status effect do?

What does it do to enemies?

I'm rather new to Ragnarok and just got a Karakasa card.

Honestly I never tried using the Karakasa card so I can't say how useful it really is in PvM. Makes for funny shit in PvP/WoE though if implemented. ;D

But do they wander off and stop attacking? I'm not sure how this works for enemies.

the only class that uses confusion is bard, and i remember seeing that if you use it it makes you go in opposite direction to which you click, or goes randomly in any direction when you click

never seen on monsters, but might make them go in different direction, not sure, i'm tempted to test this out now XD

It's pretty amusing in pvm. If you hit the monster it breaks the status.

As long as you are on screen and the monster is agressive it will try to walk towards you but since it can't it will just run randomly around.

Yeah, Chaos acts just like sleep/freeze/Hardenedstonecurse, any additional hit will break the status, so it's not necessarily something you want to repeatedly attack something with unless you got a high chance.
