Title: Does 3 same weapon cards Stack??

Yes, up to 4 weapon cards of the same name will stack actually*, some exceptions may apply though depending on server implementations/customizations (which here I do not know of any cases).

*This concerns weapon cards that give a damage bonus for certain. I didn't really play unorthodox as a Dagger Sin to find out if non-damagebonus cards might possibly stack up to 8.

Yeah i thought only 3 could but now that i think about it i remember when i started off having 4 cards in my weapon.

There's no limit to card stacking, you could have a weapon with over 9000 slots and over 9000 cards in the slots. They would still stack.

iRO had a limit of 4 concerning damage bonus cards, and 1 for Doppel (this last one I'm not entirely sure of but it's what I remember seeing, rather moot since I know multiple Doppels stack here anyway). So there's no limit here at all, you say? :o

eA has no built in limits whatsoever on any modifiers

Prolly the myth started when 1 guy testing 4*Hydra vs 2*hydra+2*TG without knowing that different modifier will multiply.
