Title: I just downloaded the full client and...

So it turns out I just waited 4 and a half hours for it to download and when I open it,

"Setup files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program."

Now it's 2 o' clock in the morning and this sucks. Please fix...

That happens with all direct download clients, pretty much. This is why we need torrents for big files.


Just re-download it again.

Feel free to try my installer (click the link in my signature). Although I already suggested it to a few people, nobody downloaded it yet. ;~;

They don't even have to search, they just have to click on 3 links when I tell them! :(

But then again, searching for "download" brings up a lot of useless threads due to the age of these forums (whereas searching for "downloads" brings up my topic as the second result ;))!

ive used fidelis before if you follow the steps right it works perfectly ;P.

I don't mean to be rude, but people who get issues like this, where the full installer is giving them errors, need to stop telling us to fix this, as it is not our end, we test every installer we send out, by dling it ourselves (as well as forcing other staff to dl as well), and we do not get errors, if your dl is ending up corrupted, it is your internet company providing you with crappy internet, or your computer not keeping it up solidly.  If you are having issues with a long dl, I would suggest finding yourself a reliable and solid download manager, to try and help these issues in the future.

One should find a decent download manager, sure, but direct downloads are fairly horrible. They can fuck up whatever connection you have.

or maybe if your multitasking something like your running a program while downloading or multidownloads at the same time affects your files in a way you get corrupted files in the later part.
