Title: Criticals
Post by: the_undutchable on January 15, 2008, 03:48:27 pm
What is the number that should be after critical for:
1. Max critical 2. Crit-locking
If they are the same than forgive my noobnicity..
And how do I obtain that number of critical (i.e. stats + gear. Don't care about the price, I just want this info in my head)
Ohh... I just remembered something else: Is there a difference between a hunter crit-locking and a sin crit-locking (non-trans classes)

95 to "Crit lock" I believe. I'm not certain however, as I've never tried it before.
Lets see; You could get a Dagger of Counter for a Mage Class. Thats what I do with my Soullinker, and I have Huge Crit.

Other then the Dagger of counter, You'll have to grab things like Cursed Brooch (SP) And such I believe If you want Really high Crit.
Or you could go for the Tome, and Slot it DDA. That'd be Pretty hardcore.
Like I said though - I'm not that good with Crit Calculations, Aside From using the DOC, and Tome.

I have 27 crit at the moment...
DDTA s.jur +10
44 LUK... no other crit improving gear... I have 89+11 agi to dodge HO where I'm leveling at... 190 Aspd obviously without pots... And the crits are pretty good.
I have 32+28 dex, I heard those improve crits too?? I have 3+26 str... because I like damage without the crits... It happens that I kill without crits (that was in TF2)

Take off the dex, undutch. Crits dont miss so hit isn't needed instead put it in luk.
Get crit rings too. Or kobold stuff.
edit: also, get your crit to reach 48, then you don't have to increase anymore.

ok... well... I have 29 crit right now... and I'm only level 76... so I'm not expecting crit-lock soon... hmm... I'll have a look around for crit rings and kobold stuff...

Using an RO calculator the critical rate varied slightly depending on the enemy ???

lolwut?
well... dunno if it counts as proof... but I think I did more crits on HO than on myst cases... And also, I've noticed that as soon as you get one crit in, the rest follows with a lot more crits... Not like one crit - xx normal attacks - crit...

Some enemies have luk, giving them a crit shield.

If this thread is still alive, the best thing for a sin to deal out crits is by using a Morriganes Set. That set in itself is PLENTY. My brother has a lvl 86 Sin and uses this set and with only 11 luk he has 40crit, which translates into an 80% critical rate.

Thanks for the info. But with my current money there is no moriganes set for me... yet
