Title: Making some profit.
Post by: JFLG on December 04, 2010, 01:31:29 pm
So, theres buying tool dealer stuff and selling that..
Grape juice and meat, are all very very simple to do and make.
But are the profit margins really worth it?

I'm super poor, about 500k to my name, and a ghostring being my most valueable item which I like.

I don't have the gears on my LK to go out and kick mvp's across the galaxy and sell their shizzle.
the only thing I seem to be able to do is use my Stalker to steal from myst cases or blue plants and sell cakes and blue herbs.

Now, Are these the only half decent ways to make money here? or am I really missing something obvious.

If you have a stalker then thats a very good start for profiting.  What gears do you have besides the ghostring? What do you commonly use on your Stalker? Knowing that I can recommend a few maps that can prove very profitable for you and are easy with minimal gears and the right stat builds.

Hmm,

I literally only have NPC gear, and even then, it's not a full set of stuff.

My LK has the odd piece of half decent crap.
Variant shoes, uhm, a cloaking mant, some full plates here or there, a helm[1]

stalker?
Uhm
A dagger? :D

My gears all went to friends when I left a year or so ago. and I've seemingly lost all knowledge and what not as to what to do with myself :S

Then I'll start by recommending a simpler map for your stalker.  Have you ever gone to Mobsters before?  Start in Comodo city, head to the East cave and take the cave to the next map; from there head to the south portal and you're with mobsters.  You can steal and kill them for Saphires and blue potions to NPC with a merchant; this is faster than cakes because you don't have to wait for people to buy them and they sell for the same amounts.  You only need a Damascus or Gladius and 210~220 flee with 127 hit to be successful here.  Seals also drop items but you might get mobbed so staying in the upper areas for mobster would be best until you're used to the map.
With the loot from there try and get a Whisper card which are about 400~500k each and slot them in a garment of your choice. I also recommend getting Mysteltian shoes which can be found for 2~4m. Its fairly steady profit.  For the Seals, if you get mobbed then use Hide, and hit them with Raid.  You can spam raid faster by using Hide & Raid at higher aspd levels so you might consider boosting your agility.

After you have more flee from the whisper garment, you can consider making an acolyte and obtaining a moscovia warp from someone.  There you can level and gain much more money than from mobsters. The monsters have more HP there so its better if you have good flee decent dex and high strength before you start there.

Other leveling options are Anolians which can be found by going to Beacon Island, North two maps and left one map.  They drop Oridicon, normal loots which can stack up to a decent amount and occasionally Pest cards and Brooch [1]s drop.

Thank you for your input!

It's incredibly usefull/helpful I'll look into trying them all and see which suits me best! :)

Thanks!  :D

you have a stalker?  cakes are like 5.5k average and 6k high.  farm cakes.   100 cakes is 550,000z and you have already doubled your money. keep farming and youll make money in no time

What he said

And the cake thing I'll look into.

Was going to do the Moscovia thingy or perhaps what SanRath suggested as they all seem fairly decent ways to utilise my stalker ! :)

I'll just see what suits best I suppose.
My LK used to goto Moscovia. I remember just frenzy spam > Rape > Loot > Relog > GJ spam > Frenzy and repeat.
But the cost of GJ sometimes outweighed the money I made seeing as I wasn't killing super quick and i got mob'd alot which chewed my HP down.

I would suggest cake farming, for a new person it is easy to make money that way.
I remember when I was new I farmed cakes until i had enough money to buy my first eddga shoes ;D And that was with cakes selling for3k each, and you can sell them for double that o.o

Go high agi and str and enough dex to hit them.
Just stay away from SK and you'll be fine

you got the advantages of autotrade this day...
make 3 or more vending slave it wont take days to make 1 char of merchant to get vending skill,
vend GJ and meat, GJ at 169 to 175 depend on the competition or how long you expect them to get sold, ill recommend 169, set all the venders at various place, check them out every 4-5 hours or whatever you wanted too, i belive you will get 200-300 thousand zeny gain per vendors with 500k capital per vendor. That 600-900k gain if you set 3 vender. meanwhile you can hunt other thing with other char, and I thing razer zeny guide for newbie still relevant.

i believe you could gather 1-2 mil a day even if you are gearless, in a week you will get 7-14 mil, if you planning to make like 5-6 vendor your income will be doubled, that is 14-28 mil per week.

btw iirc you need like 154 to make 1 GJ

Tf is better for the less geared ppl. Moscovia can be difficult if u dont have decent gears.

My LK can just about handle it, it's weather the time and GJ cost is worth it really.

Grape juice is 159 to make.
152 for the Grape
4 for the empty bottle
and 3 to pay the npc to make it.
selling at 169z

I make 10z profit per.
1000 GJ sold = 10,000z profit.

Man

2 cakes out do that.

and 4 NPC sold cakes beat it.

try sell 5000 gj you get 50.000z times 3 vendor you get 150.000z, and i believe you will going to vend it 3 times a day because trust me 169 gj is what people gonna buy.
when you get money put 10.000 gj per vendor that 100.000z times 3 you get 300.000z and less work to make the gj.

make 6 vendor and your earning will be doubled.

and while you vend that go hunt cake... your earning will be triplet.

Yes why don't I just make 50 accounts and dominate the GJ market globally.

Excuse my sarcasm, but I know how to upscale.
And it's still not worth it in my opinion :(

It doesn't look that appealing now, but after a few weeks of setting up shops and vending gj you'll get a decent bit of money, and while vending said gj you go farm cakes which will give you even more money. You can easily make 10+mil from this then buy better gears and start trying other things, like moscovia.

why hasnt anyone suggested using a BS to go poison spores and farm karvo ?
i assume u dont have enuf zeny for blazer, so stat foods are not ok at this point. But karvo are also good :)
u get 20k+ with each !

@cakes - with my stalker i was able to get 120 cakes ( like 60 each awakening pot )
120 cakes at 6k is like 720k .. in one hour ( for beginners, i guess this is good point to start)
i use only a triple beholder gladius ( 20% more damage to formless monsters * 3)
but that gladius doesnt make much difference. Just go agi and then str and then stack some more dex .. more dex only he will autosteal !

good to go. No other equips !! i dont even use a guard / armor / accessory. Sometimes a dex head gear to stat me more base str. Thats all. stalkers own the TF 2 !

Karvos are 15k ish now.
Also if you dont have money for aBlazer - get a Cloud hermit card for Poison spores. Its just 200- 300k and makes Boxesof Gloom drop. These boxes give Lvl 1 attn Conc which may be useful from some classes and SQILESS war.
Imo, They could sell for 5-10k each. They stack over stat foods too so 10 Dex food+These boxes can make you get more then 10 extra dex.

There's a very good reason I didn't mention Poison spores. First off we just had an event in which thousands of karvo were introduced to the market; secondly without an Assassin Cross which the original poster lacks to create Deadly Poison, it won't be selling anytime soon.

you dont need an assasin cross to make EDP bottles. Just sell karvos. However, i agree with you. Karvo is selling cheap lately.
i see cake market is also back. cakes are like now for 5k-5.5k !! No longer 6k.
i suggest get bs gears and go niff. No economy will affect the niff money :D Steadily 1mil+ every hour and 2mil+ if u know how to play niff. I guess since u have good frnds, u might ask them to share with you some equips.

in any case, there is no immediate help with making zeny .. other than these places. Eluniums from prison can also supplement well. But niff is much better in terms of pure zeny ! since the drops are always npc'd. Go monk / champ, ask a hp to party and go rock :) loot share !

other ways to make zeny depending on ur real life luck is to up armors ! the easiest to make u rich overnight !
try to find armors for cheap price and eluniums and try to invest your luck !
+7 odins are like 5mil ( 4.5mil i put on a vend and sold right away)
odins are cheaper if u can find a ODIN leecher SG and buy from them. buy like 10+ for 150k each.. and get eluniums.. u get a sure +7 odins . Dont do this unless u can face a huge loss in case it fails    :P
