hey guys,
i was thinking of getting a GTB for my Smith to go to abyss, cos the dragons just pierce me in one shot .. and i am left with 1 hp.. i asked a few in prontera, and they said GTB doesnt prevent Asura and Spiral pierce, asura is just for WOE purposes.
can someone confirm it ?? otherwise, buying a GTB for pvm purpose is a waste for me !

GTB does not block Spiral and Asura. Also WS is a horrid class in Abyss. Use a Sinx,Sniper or a Bio.

Try wearing Sky Petite or Executioner Guard/Buckler/StoneBuckler/ValkShield and Titanium/Ghostring Armor.For garment,maybe Raydric is better than Deviling because there are 4 or more element attack there.

OH MY GOD I WISH GTB BLOCKED SP AND ASURA. OH, AND SHARPSHOOTING. I'D SAY EDP TOO BUT KAAHI BLOCKS THAT JUST FINE, FUCKING LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL KAAHI!

dailydaily, read the card description. It blocks magic attacks, not all skills.

Coz I dont see how a WS can kill a 55k HP monster fast as well as all those other dragons. Your friend must have either made a mob or done a party with someone. Regardless , When he goes next time - Please lemme know - I would like too see him in action. So far I have only spotted Bios , snipers and Sinx there and occasional Champs Soloers.
The Only way I see a WS soloing there is extremely rich - 90+ Pure defence , Mjol with unlimited supply of cursed water and of course Megs. I can only think of 2 such names but I am pretty sure they wont be using WS down there.

Have you actually SEEN him do it ? or re you going by words ? If yes Whats his Smiths name ? Does he use regular way like in Niff or does he spam Cart Termination ?

I can tank 6~7 with just 2h axe, +4 gear and rays killing 1 by 1 with CT. I never doubt aro Mjol, shield, devi, meg, soul ring and everything else will have trouble tanking large mobs with just ctrl+click. And curse water is an issue? Even without sign quest, it won't take long to farm from angel.

Dont' use his friend as an example then, use myself. I have leveled atleast 6 smiths in abyss. Cursed water goes far; they can be outhealed with healing items in smaller mobs. Easily taken down if you have a HP to heal you. Kiel'd HP prefered.

Yes, I've seen him do it. Yes, he just smacks them to death. Is all I'm gonna say cause I'm not sure if he'd even want anyone to know it's him.

I ll need to see how much resources+time get used in this WS thing. Bios , snipers are probably the easiest. It is nice if someone makes a mob and the sniper owns it with SS spam. Bio is expensive but if played right easily outweighs the cost of Ammo and makes much more then Niff/Moscow per hour. Anyhow I suppose this could merit another thread and not this one since we are OT /heh

Lol no. If that were the case, I wouldn't have died to kasa's spiral when I used to Thor with SG. Or asuras in WoE.

I guess its doable then but i suppose its still slow then a bio or a Sniper. Also,Fire Armor is the best for this place, Sasq Fire would be awesome. It beats magical attacks from Gold Acidus, Fire and Earth ferus. The only that hurts is the Blue one but I suppose 3 are better then one ?
The only thing that makes me believe that mobbing here is difficult here if not incredibly tough is the fact that the blue Acidus casts annoying Stop or is there a way to beat that ?

Those magic Attacks tickle if you have the right element armor on. You only have to worry about the physical ones. Stone Buckler with Sky petite is the best shield and Devi is usable with the right armor. My only belief is that you have to kill em fast thats why I dumped my sinx which would take a few seconds to kill a gold Acidus and switched to my Bio which kils Acidus in 2 AD hits- My Costs for AD are easily recovered with a huge profit. I dont need to use inherent SP items here since Oranges and strawberries are awesome SP items. My strategy is Fly Wing - Fly wing - Kill Red ferus and Gold Acidus -Fly wing - The only time I engage other monsters is when a drop of value is dropped and there are other monsters in the area. I also take out Hydros and Detale since they cause un-necessary crowding making the farm trip annoying.
I would totally use a Sniper with an Arty but for now I am not interested in one.

I tested it with MY WS . Yes a WS does fairly well - but RSX is either a must or you must walk up in front of a wall when you take out your mobs. However I use 50 Defence, Dragoon Stone buck, Devi and Fire armor - I do have to use Slimsor atleast Meats with a HP ring.This Shin , I assume must be using a meg and 1 HP Ring with possible 10 more Def. Going by that I'd say WS does decent there But Sniper is better and bio is even better. Those Blue Dragons are annoying with Stop though and they hit some 4K with attack which hurts while mobbing.

Stone bucks would fall in price by then justlike Glit Jackets[1] .Although yea they would be the best shields for a while specially on meat tanking Pally/Lks.
