Title: /desp help with class choice
Post by: DaRkNeSs121 on September 02, 2010, 09:16:02 am
Before I get into the question I need to say I've been too indecisive to ever stick with a class. I either gave up too soon before it got good even though I liked it or I got good with it but sucked at making zeny so I gave up. I know for fact I hate smith classes though. Now that said I seriously need help choosing a class that's best for me. I love Animus so much so I don't want to quit but I need to have fun with a class and stick to it. So please, help me figure out which is best suited to me?

No because you're not even backing up your answer. Your just saying go Taekwon kid and I unno if I'd even enjoy it or make z with it or anything.

well taekwon kid is a fun class to play if you can manage to stay in the ranker list. The advantages of being a ranked taekwon include tripled maximum HP/SP
and infinite combo kicks which give you an edge in PvM (ranked taewkons can kill pretty much anything except a few bosses/monsters in EP 12.1 and Paladin.)

for fun zeny and stuff?

To answer the question, I don't think taekwon is the best class in making zeny since they can't equip any weapon on the right hand, ranker status aside, they aren't really capable of tanking/mobbing many monsters at once due to the inability to spam kicks.

Crusader/Wizard might be the right class for you in this case.

For zeny, people are gonna say Blacksmith or Rogue. I've tried with a Rogue, stealing cakes and all, but it got really boring really fast. You could try it though.
I think Crusader might work too. I don't like swordy classes so I don't know all that well. But you can kill mobs in Prison and Niff, just party with a Blacksmith and share half of the loot, or dual client your own Blacksmith to greed for yourself. You just gotta, you know, live. xD

For fun, you could go Wizard or Priest. I'd say Priest only cause that's my favorite class to play haha. You can join people in party's and level together, explore dungeons, or whatever. If you prefer solo play though, then you could try Wizard. You can kill almost anything, just get a decent cast time. ;o

I've given up on A LOT of classes because they get so boring for me after a while. I can never get tired of Priest classes though. ;D

I know what kind of boring you had.this could be bored by playing on same map/place.Based on my case usually,I go hunt some mvps with different maps. You can try play Sniper or Lord Kinght for mvping. For Sniper, you can fight any low/medium mvp and some high mvp except mvp that have pneuma/endure/auto guard and strong slave. For Lord Knight,It's complicated a bit about how to mvping and gears/skill/stat to do it but It's also fun hunting mvps using LK.
About how to get money?some of Mvp loots are sqi ingredients and can be vended.
Anyway,I think Sniper is the best choice. That's my own opinion, different people have different taste,It's up to you.

FOr fun, I agree. Sniper can hunt on every map. Arrows can be interchagably use to suite against monster properties.
But for serious money making then Smith is the best, for me ::)

So far i've played all classes there are in the server, nothing serious but gotten to 80 at least. so far I'd say the most fun class i have played is Gunslinger. Getting the few first jobs levels is a pain since you have to "melee" monsters until you get some decent skills. I got a tank at nameless island and used Aiming to kill the zombies, i got levels pretty fast until i had enough for bullet shower and desperado. Once you have those skills the fun beggins. You dont need any crazy gun to make good damage with those. If you have the gears you could niff with it and make some money (not as much as a well geared smith but you can survive and mob which is the main idea). Desperado used to hit 3.5k PER HIT on banshees... it hits between 0~10 times... you might get lucky you might die... maybe this gamble was what i found entertaining about it. only down side is bullets but meh... its fun.

If you have a high budget i'd say Professor, Safety Wall and Wall of fog make it easy to defend and its got nice skills even without tome. Its fun for pvp and powerful on pvm.

Soul linker or hunter for me. Hunter for money and speed. Both are fun, hunter is more versatile but Soul LInkers can do 12k+ damage with esma, so you can one (technically two) shot a lot of monsters once you get some decent int.
